Compilations
Most small businesses can benefit greatly from having annual year end compilation financial statements prepared. These financial statements are typically accepted by banks to support lower dollar financing needs and are a key component in preparing accurate corporate tax and GST returns. In addition, complied financial statements will give you a good idea of how your business is performing each year. This is Cody and Darryl’s primary area of expertise, and we enjoy working with our client’s and educating them on what the financial statements mean and areas of their business’s that are working well or needing some improvement
Reviews
Reviewed financial statements are a step up from compilation financial statements but must in compliance with a generally accepted accounting principle framework which is Canada is most commonly Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). This financial statement framework is generally used when they are required to support higher levels of third party financing or in contemplation of a sale to a third party. Both Cody and Darryl are up to date with ASPE standards and would be happy to discuss your needs.
Audits
Audits provide the highest level of assurance for your financial statements. We provide these services to mainly the not-for-profit sector when an audit is required for grant and government funding requirements. Darryl has over 25 years of experience assisting the needs of clients in this space and would be happy to discuss if this is a requirement for your organization.
